Job Responsibilities

As a Fleet Mechanic, you will play a key role in ensuring our trucks remain well maintained while keeping our drivers safe on the road. In this role you will perform scheduled preventative maintenance and needed repairs to all of our medium and heavy-duty trucks, tankers and tractor trailers.


Your specific duties in this role will include:

*Diagnose and troubleshoot fleet maintenance issues

*Perform repairs on all equipment

*Perform standard preventative maintenance

*Maintains standard shop records, reflecting the type of repair(s), parts used, job orders, etc.

*Maintain a clean and safe work environment

*Performing additional duties as assigned





As a Fleet Mechanic, you must be reliable and hard working with strong mechanical and technical inclination. You must also be highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. It is also important that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a cooperative attitude, and a willingness to assist others.


Additional qualifications for the position include:

* High school graduate or GED, preferred

* 1-3 years of experience in a maintenance environment preferred but not necessary (attitude and a willingness to learn will be taken into consideration)

*Strong problem solving skills

*Strong organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail

*Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbal and written

*Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with other members of the team

* Minimum 21 years of age

*Valid driver's license, Class A CDL a plus with hazmat and tanker endorsements

*Must own your own tools

*Experience with electronic logs is a plus

* Ability to provide proper documentation establishing your identity and eligibility to be legally employed in the United States

* Willingness to undergo a criminal background, credit, and employment reference check
