Northrop Grumman Technology Services is looking for an experienced Principle Systems Engineer to join our team building the next generation of the Air Force Weather capabilities and providing weather support to warfighters around the world.
What You'll get to Do:
Design the next generation of weather forecasting systems for the United States Air Force. Support systems through the entire engineering life cycle. Work directly with the customer to help shape the requirements, design the system/software, requisition hardware, support the implementation and sustain the systems.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent communication skills who exhibits flexibility, the ability to work well with other team members and external customers. Individual must have the ability to prepare and present briefings to senior leadership and external customers, excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be proficient with Microsoft tools. The candidate will be responsible to help design middleware solutions, such as WebLogic, Glassfish, OpenMQ Apache, Tomcat, and Web services between two or more systems within multiple target platforms that may include Windows, Unix/Linux or AIX.

This position has the option to work a 9/80 schedule. The 9/80 schedule allows an employee to work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday and take every other Friday off of work.
A Bachelor's degree in a STEM Field (Science, Technical, Engineering or Math) and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Cyber Security or another Engineering field of experience; 3 years with Masters; 0 years with PhD.
CompTIA Security CE Certification.
A minimum of Secret Clearance.
Knowledge of middleware.
Appropriate certification as required by DoD Directive 8570 (such as CISSP, CASP for an IASAE Level II Position.
5 years of experience as a WebLogic, Glassfish, OpenMQ, Apache, Tomcat, and Web services
Experience with Java Messaging Service
Experience with SQL Database queries
Experience with performance analysis of applications and interconnected components (Systems, Web Servers, Messaging)
Top Secret Clearance
