        • Previous Yoga instruction experience required.
        • Previous Mediation instruction preferred.

      • License/Certifications
        • Registered Yoga Teacher by the Yoga Alliance with 500 hours of teacher training (RYT 500) required.
        • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

        • Instructor provides an environment consistent with accepted standards of sanitation, hygiene, safety and universal precautions.

          • Ensures appropriate disinfecting and cleaning of equipment and surfaces.

        • Instructor is knowledgeable of Yoga postures, breathing and relaxation techniques appropriate for the Oncology patient population.
          • Discusses physical limitations with individual participants and modifies movements accordingly.
          • Completes continuing education.

        • Elicits and monitors feedback from the client throughout the session.
          • Clients report interactive session.

        • Maintains a professional relationship with clients.
          • Relates to the client in a manner consistent with accepted standards and ethics.
          • Maintains professional confidentiality, and relates to the client in a manner which respects the integrity of the client and instructor.

        • Maintains professional relationships with other health care professionals.
          • Interacts professionally with all Cancer Center staff.
          • Participates in Harper's Hope meetings and activities.
